The third-floor view was nice--we watched surfers from the balcony. The spiral staircase was a little hard to maneuver--I wouldn't recommend this place for elderly or disabled. Otherwise, a beautiful place!
Appreciate the opportunity of selecting days,ie, not being locked into a Sat.-Sat. arrangement! All the contacts with the staff at Sandy Beach have been positive!!!!! Like family.
Thanks so much for getting us in at the last minute. We enjoyed our stay and the ability to walk to La Jolla cove from our penthouse with a view. Everyone loved pictures of our dining/bedroom/kitchen combo and it was even more spacious than it looked on-line
The location was perfect. The unit, was small, but had enough for what we wanted to do. The staff from Sandy beach Rentals was VERY supportive. The view is nice, except for the power lines that are kind of an eye-sore... this still didn't stop us from watching the surfers each morning, at the Sand and Wind Beach. Overall experience was good. Just caveat, make sure you park in the BACK for this unit, and go up a spiral staircase... it's easy to mistake this for unit B, and your lock code will not work. Bathroom and kichenette area were both clean, and new. Location was great, so close to the beach, and the shops in La Jolla.

I was raised in San Diego so I had an idea where this funny, sweet, litle place was located. Great for a sister & I shared it with my 6 year old grandson who had no problems with the sprial stair case that leads you upstairs. View of the ocean, the sound of the pounding surf to go to sleep with made it just what we wanted. Great place to shower, change clothes, morning coffee,late night wine. Very little if any noise.Easy to walk to dinner or a short drive either direction to really good food. Wind & Sea beach is for the skilled surfer but great to walk and just get you feet wet. Easy access to Mission or LaJolla 15 minute drive either way.(We go early stay late miss traffic) Thanks to the crew @ Sandy rentals for making this happen.

The loft was pretty small on its own, and the spiral stair was impossible to bring up luggage, but we were staying with a group in the middle level triplex, so it was okay because we used their staircase. When we complained about the beds, the owner replaced them immediately.

Things i really liked: Great ocean view and sound of surf well stocked kitchen attentive owner who responds quickly to calls cheap effective washing machine and dryer solid comfortable Murphy bed mettress plentiful Terry towels in bathroomThings i did not like: 3rd floor climb outside lack of storage for clothes dirty carpeting that is worn and needs replacement FILTHY laundry rooms that needs a cleaning and repainting
